Heather was deeply touched when she was asked to sing the solo at her cousin Steve's wedding in October of 2006. She was very nervous to sing for Steve and Amy. Steve had always been the one to sing at the family weddings. She felt very honored to be asked to do this. The song that they chose was by Alison Krauss, "When You Say Nothing At All."This was one of Heather's favorite songs. She and Lynn had sung karaoke to this song the last time she visited Myrtle Beach. Heather practiced for weeks leading up to the wedding. There was one part that she was really nervous about..it was a timing issue that she kept missing. She looked amazing as she always did. She sang just like an angel. She kept looking up because of her nerves..she is so expressive. Near the end of the video she looks away and has a smirk..she had gotten the timing right, looked at me and smiled..the look was "see momy..I did it right...."

Heather sang Amy Grant's version of I Can Only Imagine at AWANA Scholarship Camp in June of 2003. She loved everything that Amy did. She especially loved the Legacy Hymns CD that was sold several years ago. In October, 2004, Heather stood before a crowded church as sang the same exact song at her beloved Grandma Coombe's funeral. She asked if she could and she was amazing as she stood tall and sang so beautifully. Never waived a note for the grandma she loved so much. For the video presentation of Heather's life the same song was used.Notice the facial expressions as she closes her eyes...Heather believed every word she is singing. Listen to the words..do you wonder what you will do when you stand face to face with Jesus?
